PTA members will set up the treats and take-home boxes in the lounge for the staff to enjoy! Thank you for helping show apprecation for our staff! 

Join us for STEAM Night, an evening of hands-on learning and family fun! We’ll explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math through interactive stations — from navigating robots to building the tallest tower, solving math puzzles and conducting experiments. Every student gets a STEAM Passport at check-in. Visit at least 10 stations to earn stamps and trade a completed passport for a prize. Grab a slice of pizza, purchase a baked good from the SCA, and participate in some fun STEAM activities!

We need volunteers! We are looking for some volunteers to lead a station. This is a great opportunity for middle or high school students looking for volunteer hours, or a family member who wants to donate a bit of time to support all our students. All materials and directions will be provided. Sign up to lead a station and reach out to Charity Risko (cmrisko@fcps.edu) with any questions.

BVES Advanced Academic Resource Teacher, Abby Betz, will hold an information meeting on November 13th at 6:00 pm in the school library to provide families with an information on the Full-Time AAP referral and screening process.

Our next restaurant fundraiser night is at Panera, 6670 Richmond Hwy, (Beacon Hill shopping center) November 12th, from 4-8PM.

FCPS Holiday for Rosh Hashanah

Based on Policy 8130, FCPS will hold two sets of meetings, one set in September and one set in October. Each set of meetings will be held with a focus on two pyramids per meeting.

Thursday, September 18, 7-8:30 p.m., at West Potomac High School (In Person or Virtual)

At each September meeting, FCPS will provide an overview of where we are in the comprehensive boundary review process, discuss the consultant’s ongoing review of transportation and instructional programming, and share the ways community feedback is informing the process. FCPS will also share next steps.

At each October meeting, FCPS will be reviewing the updated maps and providing opportunities for feedback on those.

To register for a September meeting, please determine which date will work best for you, then click “In Person” or “Virtual,” depending upon how you would prefer to participate. More information on October’s meetings to come.
